Nha Trang recognized as first-grade city

VGP - The Prime Minister on Wednesday signed a decision to recognize Nha Trang as a first-grade city affiliated to Khánh Hòa Province.

Located in the center of the southern central province, the coastal city covers an area of 251 square kilometers, with a population of 361,454 people.

The city consists of 27 administrative units, including 19 inner-city wards.

As a national-level tourist center, Nha Trang boasts its famous scenic spots.

Its major economic industries are tourism and services.

The city is a scientific and educational center of the South Central Region with numerous universities, academies, research institutes and vocational training schools.
